Hello,

We have lived here for 25 years, with several stints overseas in the USA (North Carolina) and France (Toulon).

We began restoring the barn in 2021 to ensure the 18th century fabric of stone, lime and cob were retained while sitting astride these local, original materials, built a wood frame, larch clad, first floor living space.

Curiosity took hold to see what lies beneath failing and unsightly tarmac drive, revealing the original courtyard cobbles.

Our ambition is to use any income to re introduce the rare Devon apple trees to the orchard and paddock, supporting the abundance of wildflowers and wild life in the area.

Serena’s art work inspired by life on Dartmoor (with a little influence of the Var region in France) is on display in the bank barn, including her oil paintings and drawings.
